A quick introduction to who I am…

Hi there! My name is Valentina and I’ve been a professional translator and interpreter since 2016.  I am a native Italian speaker specialising in English and French.
I spend a lot of my time at home in Bologna or in the province of Fermo, but you’ll often find me in Florence, Tuscany, Veneto, across Italy and many other places all around the world!

I enable multilingual written and spoken communication, harnessing the complexity of global exchanges for competitive advantage.
I work with companies, agencies and professionals on a freelance basis.
I can support your business, writing stories in Italian, translating texts and documents from English and French, speaking with your voice in Italian or English during events and teaching you to speak English and achieve your career goals.
I translated my very first word a decade ago. Since then, every step of my career has added to the experience and expertise that I draw on to make your life easier when communicating in other languages.

2016 – First position as an inhouse translator and editor in London

2017 – Membership of the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters.

2018 – Specialism in the footwear sector.

2019 – Specializzazione nel destination wedding.

2020 – First position as lecturer in translation at the University of Macerata

2021 – Specialism in the fashion, luxury and perfume sector at the Marangoni School of Fashion and Art in Florence

2022 – Membership of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, in Beauty, Fashion and Luxury Network

2023 – Lecturer at the Ciels University Campus in Bologna

2024 – Training in Digital Copywriting and SEO/SEA for localisation

2025 – Certified English language trainer at Norma’s Teaching

2026 – Training for Official Tour Manager qualification

Before 2016, I studied in Italy, Switzerland and the UK.

Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural and Linguistic Mediation with distinction from Forlì School of Interpreting and Translation, University of Bologna (Italy).

2014

Six-month Traduction Spécialisée exchange programme at the University of Geneva (Switzerland).

2015

Master’s Degree in Specialised Translation with distinction from School of Interpreting and Translation, University of Bologna (Italy).

2016

Post-Graduate Diploma in Conference Interpreting with merit from University of Leeds (UK).
